Winter Questions

Will the bus be cold?

There is a 4 KW diesel powered heater at the front, and a 1.5 KW mains powered heater at the rear, between them these provide a significant heat output.

The diesel heater can be started as the bus leaves the depot, as it does not need an external power source.

Even on the coldest days the bus is either adequately warm on arrival, or shortly after that, should the mains powered heater be needed to be connected up.

Will the bus be dark inside?

The low voltage LED lighting gives ample and safe illumination, both to make the bus clearly visible to passing traffic, as well as for those onboard.

What if it snows?

As long as you live on, or close to, a major road, with no significant inclines, then it’s improbable that we won’t be able to get to you. Last winter we managed to get to all our events, although on one of the days we ran 10-15 minutes late due to a delay in the driver getting to the yard.

We check all addresses on Google map prior to accepting bookings, and we will advise if your address is not safe to get to should it be snowing.

Between November and February we avoid distance between bookings, as well as allowing more time between them.
